I wholeheartedly agree with all previous comments : it really is an outstanding and original work. The gigantic bas-relief alone would be an inspired idea, yet the whole painting is in fact intricately and masterfully constructed. Faultless, and much, much more than the sum of its parts. Du beau travail...
I don't know why, but images like this are, to me, the visual epitome of fantasy. Something about distinctive, vaguely heroic figures, small but bold in an ancient yet exciting world... sorry, rambling. But that's fantasy to me.
I definitely hope one day I can wear a slice dress like that to run in wind. I like it very much. Only the peaces of white color one the wall makes me distracted and can not focus on the girl. What is that standing for? Thanks for sharing.
This is so stunningly beautiful! I love the Celtic knot work and the movement of her black dress blowing in the wind. The shadows at the top and bottom frame the painting nicely and balance the light and the dark. Most of all, I love the dramatic scale of the stone wall in the background and how small the figure is against it.
