Departure of The Borealis by chvacher Departure of The Borealis by chvacher
In a "steam-punk", Jules Verne-like environment, a massive flying ship awaits departure in a futuristic Victorian train station (inspired by the museum of D'Orsay in Paris).

The retro design on a clearly futuristic mechanism, is a master-stroke. The Victorian garb of the commuters in the airy well spaced "station" and their unhurried yet deliberate deportment, lends the whole composition to suggest a powerful society, content and confident in it's existence.
The unspoilt rural background, mountains in the background, could be this "station" is in Wales or Scotland. I would love to live here, in this time, with these people. There is an evident courtesy, see the gentleman raising his hat, that suggests etiquette and civility are not unknown here.
I love it. Well done Bucko!!

I really love the design of the ship, in a way it reminds me of steam locomotive.
